# Accessing StrataEMR

> How to log in to StrataEMR, supported browsers, and troubleshooting common access issues.

StrataEMR is a web-based application. There is nothing to install. You access it through your browser at:

<Card href="https://strataemr.com" title="https://strataemr.com" />

Bookmark this URL on every workstation at your practice. This is the only URL your team needs to access StrataEMR.

## Logging In

1. Navigate to [strataemr.com](https://strataemr.com) in your browser.
2. Enter your organization ID, email address, and password.
3. Click **Log In**.

If you don't have login credentials yet, contact your practice administrator or office manager. User accounts are created during onboarding. See [Adding Users and Roles](/getting-started/adding-users-and-roles) for details on how accounts are set up.

## Supported Browsers

StrataEMR runs in modern web browsers. For the best experience, use one of the following:

Keep your browser updated to the latest version. Outdated browsers may cause display issues, slow performance, or unexpected behavior.

## First-Time Login

The first time you log in, you may be prompted to:

If you were given a temporary password during onboarding, you'll be asked to create a new password on your first login. Choose a strong password and don't share it with other staff. Each team member should have their own account.

## Password Management

### Forgot Your Password

If you can't remember your password, use the password reset option on the login page.

### Changing Your Password

To change your password while logged in:

1. Click Setup in the upper right corner, within the blue menu bar
2. On the Staff page, scroll down to the New Password box
3. Enter your new password and confirm it in the Confirm Password box

<Info>
Passwords must be a minimum of 10 characters long and include at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one number, and one special character from the following: !, @, #, \$, %, ^, \*, &. Avoid using easily guessed phrases such as commonly used temporary passwords, personal or celebrity names, sequential numbers, or the word 'password' itself.

### Account Lockout

## Multiple Locations

If your practice has more than one facility and you work at multiple locations, your account provides access to all facilities you've been assigned to. You don't need separate logins for each location.

## Mobile Access

## Troubleshooting

### I can't reach strataemr.com

* Verify your internet connection is working (try loading another website).
* Confirm you're using the correct URL: **strataemr.com** (not a misspelling or old bookmark).
* Clear your browser cache and try again.
* If your practice uses a firewall or network security appliance, confirm that strataemr.com is not blocked. Your IT team or internet service provider can help with this.

### The page loads but looks broken

* Make sure you're using a [supported browser](#supported-browsers) with the latest updates installed.
* Clear your browser cache and cookies, then reload.
* Disable browser extensions temporarily. Some ad blockers or privacy extensions can interfere with web applications.
* Try accessing StrataEMR in a private/incognito window to rule out extension or cache issues.

### I can log in but don't see what I expect

* Confirm you're logging in with the correct account. If your practice has multiple users, you may have received credentials for the wrong role.
* Your access depends on your assigned role and facility. If something is missing, contact your practice administrator to review your account settings. See [Adding Users and Roles](/getting-started/adding-users-and-roles).
* If your account is still in onboarding state, some features are intentionally locked until go-live. See [Your Onboarding Dashboard](/getting-started/onboarding-dashboard).

### I'm locked out of my account

Contact your practice administrator to unlock your account, or use the password reset process if available.

## System Status

If StrataEMR is experiencing a service disruption or scheduled maintenance, the login page or application may display a status message.

For ongoing issues, contact [StrataPT Support](/after-go-live/getting-help).
