The Organization page in StrataEMR is where your practice-wide settings live. These settings form the foundation for billing, documentation headers, fax cover sheets, appointment reminders, and patient-facing materials. Most fields are configured once during onboarding and rarely need to change.
Access: Organization settings are managed with StrataPT involvement. Many fields — particularly billing identifiers and NPI numbers — affect claim submission directly. Once se, these fields cannot be changed without first coordinating with your StrataPT account team. See Getting Help if you’re unsure.
Navigate to Organization Settings
- From the blue Menu Bar, select Settings.
- In the left column, select Organization.
These fields control how your practice is identified in StrataEMR and how it appears across documentation, faxes, and patient communications.
Practice Name — The legal name of your practice. This appears on clinical documentation headers, fax cover sheets, and patient-facing appointment reminders. If you change the practice name, update your reminder templates as well, since the name may be referenced in the reminder scripts.
Website — Your practice website URL. This populates the facility header that appears on printed documents and faxes.
Billing Address — The address used on claim submissions and fax cover sheets. This must match the address on file with your payers. Contact your StrataPT billing team before changing this field.
Billing Identifiers
These fields are used on every claim submitted on your behalf. They must be accurate and match your credentialing records exactly.
Tax ID — Your practice’s federal tax identification number. Required for all claim submissions.
Group NPI (Type 2) — The National Provider Identifier for your practice as an organization. Required for group billing.
Changes to Tax ID or NPI affect all active claims. These fields are closely tied to your credentialing records with each payer. Incorrect or mismatched values cause claim denials. Always confirm changes with your StrataPT billing team before saving.
Patient Engagement Links
These fields connect StrataEMR’s patient engagement features to your external review platforms.
Google Reviews URL — Paste your practice’s Google Reviews link here. When patients complete the Share Your Review document in their patient portal, they are directed to this URL to post their review.
Facebook Reviews URL — Paste your practice’s Facebook Reviews link here. Used in the same Share Your Review workflow.
To find your Google Reviews URL, search for your practice on Google, open your Business Profile, and copy the link from the Reviews section. Paste it directly into this field and click Save.
Relationship to Facility Settings
Organization settings apply practice-wide and serve as the default for all facilities. Individual facilities can override certain settings — such as phone number, fax number, and address — at the facility level. This means multi-location practices get location-specific letterhead on clinical documents and faxes, even though billing identifiers are shared at the organization level.
See Facilities for details on facility-level configuration.
